For the 400 years of the Charism of St. Vincent de Paul, we have had the visit of St. Vincent’s heart which arrived from the Chapel of  rue du Bac, in Paris,  accompanied by two Daughters of Charity. This precious relic was exposed in the Chapel of the Dominicans, in   rue St Francis de Paule in Nice.

Numerous people came to honour this relic and to listen to various witnesses.
Sr. Monique Jay, a sister of our community of  Regina Coeli, presented St. Jeanne-Antide Thouret and our religious family as well as our bonds with St. Vincent de Paul.

Sister  Marie Madeleine invited to our community the two sisters who are in charge of this relic during its journey in France. It was a great moment of fraternity for all of us, a moment which our foundress St. Jeanne Antide would have desired, since we were an international group: from Poland, France, Spain and Italy !

With the same charism : reach and help the poor in the name of Christ.

These moments of grace are unforgettable… A grace that we lived with all the Vincentian family.

When the relics reached Nice, the mass presided by our bishop Mgr André Marceau at the Dominicans, was a strong moment with St. Vincent and all the Vincentians. He was glad to honour the founder of this big family.

We thank God for this time which helped us renew our faith, our attachment of St.Vincent de Paul and our desire to serve the poor.  Sr. Irene and Sr. Mary-Madeleine – Regina Coeli
