Meeting at Naples

An utterly beautiful meeting, based on sharing and reflection was held  Regina Coeli. The topic tackled was “mercy in the Word of God, in the history of the Church and in the life and work of St. Jeanne Antide. The priest, Fr. Nicholas Longobardo dealt with the topic “Merciful like the Father" and gave us hints for reflection, starting from the Word of God. He even gave us very useful information on the origin and the meaning of the Jubilee in the history of the Church.

We shared the nice Sunday Eucharistic celebration, followed by a moment of prayer held in front of the chapel of St. Jeanne Antide. A beautiful moment of Adoration in front of the Blessed Sacrament, adorned with hymns of praise, contributed to increase in us the joy of being together.

During lunch, which we shared in the refectory, we had the possibility to continue our sharing on the same morning topics, but we availed ourselves of the occasion to know each other better, to laugh and joke together with sincere fraternity.

After lunch, a delicious cup of coffee … and then off to listen to Sr. Giusy Allia who talked about “The works of mercy in Jeanne Antide”.

Starting from the observation of Caravaggio’s painting found in Naples, dedicated precisely to the works of Mercy, Sr Giusy, introduced us in a simple and original way, into the world of Jeanne Antide with the help of a power point, highlighting the gentleness and beauty with which she put into practice the corporal and spiritual works of mercy. The feedback has been entirely positive … and notwithstanding the tiredness due to the full day program, all of us were happy with the day lived together and for our mutual enrichment.
