Arrival: september 16, 1932 Milwaukee, Wisconsin

The Sisters’ presence was requested by Archbishop Samuel Stritch to minister to the Italian immigrants on Milwaukee’s east side and to also minister at St. Camillus Hospital in Wauwatosa, Wisconsin

Five Sisters were sent to the United States. Mother Monica Tarantola was the Superior of these Sisters.

The Communities today

The North American Province currently has 35 Sisters.

Two Sisters are ministering in Santa Fe (New Mexico) in the poorest diocese in the United States.

One Sister is ministering in a parish in Kenosha, Wisconsin, a community severely impacted by the current economic situation in the United States.

Thirty-two Sisters are connected to five local communities in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.

 

The main services today

At the present time the ministries of the North American Province are focused on parish outreach and education.
