On Thursday 23rd May, we gathered at the ESCALE JEUNES to celebrate the feast of Saint Jeanne-Antide Thouret, founder of the Congregation of the Sisters of Charity. A remarkable spiritual figure, recognised for her commitment to the poorest of the poor and her tireless dedication to education and care for the sick, she was honoured during a Mass celebrated at 7pm.
The Eucharistic celebration, simple but deeply prayerful, brought together the faithful, young and old, as well as several nuns who came especially for the occasion. The songs, readings and homily allowed us to learn more about the life of Saint Jeanne-Antide, a woman of faith and courage, whose charisma continues to inspire us today.
The evening continued in a friendly and fraternal atmosphere.

It was an opportunity to talk with the Sisters of the community of 131, whose presence was particularly precious to us. With simplicity, they shared with the young people their experience of religious life, their mission, and their attachment to the legacy left by our foundress. Rich and friendly exchanges took place over a glass of wine and some sweet treats, prolonging the joy of the evening.
This celebration helped to strengthen the bonds between generations, between the religious community and young people, in a beautiful spirit of communion. An inspiring evening that combined spirituality and closeness, reflecting the life of Saint Jeanne-Antide Thouret.
