“I am glad because I travel serenely towards the past, with one sole luggage, “the future”.  (from the film Anita B)

In the days following the election of the new General council,  the works of the chapter assembly were resumed in the presence of the two facilitators Alexander and Mark.

Their presence and their interventions facilitate the assembly works  efficiently. Every morning, Alexander continues to offer a valid and deep spiritual reflection starting from the daily Gospel and guides the assembly’s sharing, because only when we listen and understand the Word, can our hearts warm up. It reaches the soul, enlightens the intelligence and transforms the person. When we welcome, interiorize and meditate the word, we then feel urged to concrete actions in harmony with the same word

During the assembly works, the final documents are presented to the editing team. Such documents are the result of the summary of the group work and the sharing in the chapter hall. Once voted to, they constitute the decisions and the declarations of the Chapter 2015 and will be integrated in the text of the Chapter Acts. Their application, in the next five years is entrusted to the General council, to the territorial councils and to the local communities.

The delegates have a final task to fulfil: they are divided in groups to elaborate some concrete suggestions  in order to transmit the Chapter contents to all the communities.  Each group presents in the chapter hall the result of their work. The general council will make a summary which will be sent to the territorial councils, who have the responsibility to communicate the contents of the Chapter within four months.

Sunday 26th July, last day of the Chapter, during the Eucharistic celebration, the Chapter welcomes symbolically the new general council. The liturgical animation assumes the colours and the melodies of the different cultures.

In the hall, Sr. M. Jacqueline Munnier, with the help of Sr. Theresa and Sr. Paola, presents the magazine and the website of the Congregation. She traces clearly the various steps already covered, the success and the limits. The assembly is urged to use the new means of communication as an instrument  of evangelisation and also as a means to diffuse our mission and our charism. The assembly expresses gratitude and acknowledges the preciousness of the work accomplished so far.

After the short pause, Sr. Anna Antida Casolino presents the work already realised and the one in progress to make the saints and the blessed of our Congregation known, and to arrive to the canonisation of Blessed Nemesia and Enrichetta.  The talk on holiness fascinates and raises the interest of all the delegates.

In the afternoon, the assembly concludes the works with the official address of the Superior general Sr. Nunzia De Gori and the mandate prayer.

The liturgical group had dedicated a particular attention in every moment of prayer, suggesting simple but very significant signs, such as : the dance of the magnificat, the recitation of the Our Father around the altar … !

Let’s thank together the Trinity  to continue  to take care of us in this year when we celebrate the 250 years of the birth of Jeanne Antide, to confirm us with the gift of its Spirit  in our mission,  to send us to continue the work uninitiated by our foundress and to weave bonds of communion and solidarity among us.
