In favour of the care and protection of creation, especially water: Jubilee mission with the charismatic family Friends of Saint Juana Antida, 24th and 25th May 2025 in Puerto Triunfo – Itapúa (Paraguay)
The missionaries and Friends of Saint Jeanne-Antide, together with the Sisters of Charity, visited four communities in the city of Puerto Triunfo: San José, San Miguel, Sagrado Corazones and Triunfo.
We shared and tried to raise awareness about the importance of water and creation.
It was a beautiful mission that God gave us through Saint Jeanne Antide (Serving God Alone) both for us and for the families we visited, considering their welcome, their simplicity, humility and affection for us.
At the end of the mission, we visited a wooded area where we found biblical messages about the importance of creation, which we must value and protect.
We thus had a very beautiful experience that helped us to develop mutual feelings for God’s creation.
P.S. I would like to share a testimony: we were very struck by what a man told us during one of our visits.
This gentleman had reunited with his old friends and was very surprised to find that all his former companions had become professionals (doctors, lawyers, etc.). One of them approached him and asked, “How are you? He replied, “I am a farmer, I have my land, my animals and my crops”. One of them said to him, “You are the richest of us all”. The man realised that what his former companion had said was true and recognised and appreciated the natural riches that God had given him. He gave thanks to God! The conversation took place in the local language, Guaraní.
