“Let us all feel part of the Family of the Sisters of Charity called to holiness in today’s Church” (Circular letter from Mother Maria Rosa for 23 May 2025)

For this reason too, we are giving space to the celebrations and festivities that took place on the feast day of our Foundress, Saint Jeanne Antide Thouret.

LAOS

“Dearest Sisters, during her youth, Jeanne Antide had put down deep roots in the Christian life that sustained her throughout her earthly existence, hence rendering her faith strong.

We can glimpse to what extent the path to holiness is accessible to all those who, called by God in a free and gratuitous way, accept His Will with faith and love and commit themselves with responsibility, to live the gift of communion with God and with the brothers and sisters in the everyday life of time and history.

Holiness, which is the fullness of Christian life, is not a matter of accomplishing extraordinary ventures, but it entails living united to Christ while assuming His attitudes and His thoughts.

A holy life is not primarily the result of our own efforts and actions. God renders us holy, while the action of the Holy Spirit animates us interiorly. The Risen Christ himself communicates to us His life and transforms us”.
