In the Central African Republic, on Saturday 17 May 2025, the young people of the vocation group and the girls from the BOUAR home spent an hour in adoration in the chapel of the home, using the materials sent to them.

After the exposition of the Blessed Sacrament by Sister Marie Reine, our adoration was marked by four very powerful symbols:

  • Each person received a piece of stone as a sign of the burdens that hinder and weigh down their relationship with God.
  • The young people exchanged the light of Christ burning in their hearts in pairs.
  • The young people each wrote down their fears and anxieties and, with complete trust, placed them at the feet of Jesus in the Eucharist, the source of all consolation and healing.
  • Each person took a peanut seed as a sign of the seed of their vocation, which they are called to nurture and help grow.

Everyone is happy to walk together on the path of vocation and hope.

We are very happy to experience this unique and very profound moment of adoration.

On Tuesday, 27 May 2025, we decided to visit a family in the neighbourhood and go to the ‘village of Saint Vincent’ to visit the poor.

The aim of this visit of hope is to bring hope to those who welcome us and to ask them about their hopes.

Mr NAH Julien is a Central African national. His life this year has been full of trials and temptations, including an accident, illness and bereavement. What gives him hope is his belief that God is present in his life and the prayers of others who support him.

For Mr NGAKOUTOU BISSI Allain (Central African), before you can hope, you must have something to hope for, and that is God. At one point in his life, he fell into despair, but it was thanks to the priests and sisters that he regained his great hope for life. He gives thanks to God for this testimony of hope.

For Mr. Antoine, a Congolese from the DRC who is filled with joy at our visit, hope is perseverance; it is a path that must be followed in order to reach God.

On Sunday 11 May 2025, International Vocation Day, young people from the Cathedral of Mary Mother of the Church in Bouar gathered for two days to reflect on hope and the future of young people. On this occasion, those in the vocational group presented a sketch on religious vocation and vocation to marriage, followed by a poem on the mission of young people.
