In this Bicentenary year, the start of school led us to decide with determination to invite pre-teen girls to a day together away from home, in the quiet of Fane.

Twenty girls accepted the invitation, and so we began a journey proposing to meet Jeanne Antide in this special year dedicated to her. In this first meeting, we also introduced the figure of Carlo Acutis.
It was a full day of reflection, sharing, and prayer.

Mother Thouret was introduced with a simple video in which we highlighted three moments in her life:
Jeanne Antide
could have lost her peace with the death of her mother,
could have felt hatred towards the revolutionaries,
could have lost her joy with the division of her community-congregation
Instead, none of this happened, thanks to the POWER of LOVE that she carried within her!
Love for Jesus, Love for the Church, Love for the poor, illuminating every situation with Peace, Forgiveness and Joy.
Jeanne Antide continued to serve and proclaim to the poor wherever they were that God is Father and loves you, Jesus died and rose again for you, the Church is our family.
There was also time for after-lunch games, which created a great sense of unity and collaboration!
Now we are waiting for some “sparkling” proposals from the centre: we would love to have a video showing the many services provided in the different places around the world where the Sisters of Charity work.
And the faces of the happy young sisters… Thank you!
