A Bridge to Africa – Blessing of the school in Bangui

In the Central African Republic, in Bangui, in the presence of volunteers from the ‘A Bridge to Africa’ association in Brescia, the Provincial Superior Sister Paola and several Sisters of Charity, the premises that will very soon house the Piumi nursery school, in memory of Sister Silvana Rossini, who spent several decades on mission in Central Africa, were blessed.

“In nine months, a child comes into the world… We at Ponte sull’Africa, with the help of Grimm and many benefactors, have brought to life, in the same amount of time, a dream—a dream of hope and redemption for 60 children. These bricks and a beautiful colour will not be enough to make this school special. From now on, we must believe that every dream can take shape and truly become the salt of the earth and the light of the world.

Thank you to all those who, like us, love to dream whilst keeping their feet on the ground.”
