From today, it is possible to relive the opening prayer of the Bicentenary celebrated in Naples, Regina Coeli, on the evening of 24 August 2025, at the hour of St. Jeanne Antide’s death.

The Prayer was experienced in a profound atmosphere of prayer and emotion.

More than 200 communities and lay people connected online. In person, the General Government, the European Province, the entire Regina Coeli community, and a group of devoted individuals affectionately and gratefully remembered Jeanne Antide’s birth into heaven.

And we welcomed the appeal of the Superior General, Sister Maria Rosa, “so that this Bicentenary may not only be a remembrance of an event in the past, but a surge of hope in the present:

I invite every community, the AJA, lay groups, and young people to give life to initiatives and projects of charity with the poor, wherever we are.

I would call these initiatives “Steps of Hope”, as they are based on fraternity and peace and are developed with a view to the common good, which is based on social and ecological justice. These charitable projects will form a network, creating relationships of trust and hope; initiatives and projects that will release energy for life. I am certain that with the poor as the main actors in these initiatives, we will do “great things”.
