Rome-Naples-Rome: the communities that support the daily lives of the university students at Santa Felicita in Urbino and Santa Giovanna Antida in Rome, to mark the Bicentenary, organised a three-day pilgrimage with stops at the Generalate, at Regina Coeli in Naples, and in St Peter’s Square for Palm Sunday.

At the Mother House, the young students had lunch with the large community of the General Curia, comprising sisters from four continents.

“Here is a brief account of our experience of these days spent between Rome and Naples from 27 to 29 March 2026:

The pilgrimage was an intense and meaningful experience, marked by moments of sharing and personal growth. We appreciated the commitment and hospitality of the sisters, who made our days both enjoyable and enriching. Meeting the sisters, some of whom came from other countries, highlighted the importance of community and shared values.

The visit to the house of Saint Giovanna Antida in Naples was moving, allowing us to understand her story and the impact of her life choices.

We felt a strong connection with her figure, sensing the tangibility of her legacy through the objects and spaces that once housed her.

Seeing the Pope for the first time during Palm Sunday Mass was a unique experience. His presence and the energy of the faithful created a moment of deep emotion, making us feel part of something greater.

Over the past few days, we have found much food for thought.

The sisters’ stories and their life experiences have enriched our perspective, teaching us the importance of listening and embracing differences. The beauty of the places we visited and the hospitality we received have left a deep impression on our hearts.

We will carry with us our gratitude for these shared moments and the realisation that every experience of this kind contributes to personal growth.

We will tell those close to us everything we have experienced, keeping the memory of these emotions alive.

The experience in Naples was wonderful, not least because we shared it with the students from Urbino. We identified with the daily life of Giovanna Antida, drawing closer to her through our imagination and the places in her home that we visited.
