Smiles, discoveries, and sharing: on Friday, November 28, a festive atmosphere swept through the Sainte Marthe–Saint Jean school.

From first to fifth grade, all the children enthusiastically celebrated the birthday of Saint Jeanne Antide with a big game full of creative and fraternal activities.

Eleven workshops awaited the students: building keywords with Kapla blocks, coloring pretty bookmarks, making delicate crepe paper flowers, assembling a puzzle of the icon of Jeanne Antide, participating in a flash mob, discovering a video about the life of Jeanne Antide, creating their own self-portraits to display around J.A., coding phrases, crossing “the sea with J.A.” and traveling like her through different countries… Each workshop was warmly led by a catechist and some volunteer parents.

Divided into eleven teams, the children experienced a true moment of sharing. Accompanied by a teacher, they moved from one workshop to another, with fifteen minutes to fully enjoy each activity. The goal of this day was, of course, to discover the life of Saint Jeanne Antide, but also to experience a moment of brotherhood among the students.

We had the joy of welcoming many parents and sisters from the Trélissac community.

At the end of the game, a moment of prayer was offered, led by the priest and the school principal. The celebration ended with the song “Happy Birthday to Saint Jeanne Antide,” followed by a snack offered to all the children. Each child received a bookmark with the image of Jeanne Antide as a gift from the Sisters of Charity.

It was a wonderful day, full of sharing, laughter, joy, and discoveries!
