‘Our neighbour is everywhere, God is everywhere: that is enough for us.’
These enlightening words from our holy Mother Jeanne-Antide Thouret continue to guide the mission and commitment of each Sister to the smallest and most vulnerable wherever we live.

In this Bicentenary Year of the birth into heaven of our Holy Foundress, the community gives thanks for this ever-living spiritual heritage and prays that this year may be a time of renewal, inspiring bold charitable initiatives adapted to the needs of our time.

In the spirit of this spirituality, the community of Sisters of Nkolmesseng chose to celebrate the Nativity of the Lord in a spirit of simplicity, closeness and fraternal communion.
On 24 December 2025, we went out to meet the children of our neighbourhood, inviting them to share a moment of joy and fraternity on this solemn Christmas Day.
All those who crossed our paths were welcomed with kindness, in a true spirit of family. This gathering gave rise to a modest but profound celebration of Christmas, experienced with joy around bottles of juice, packets of biscuits and sweets in a spirit of sharing and mutual welcome.

This moment reminded us that the feast of the Nativity finds its full meaning when it is translated into concrete gestures of charity and attention to the most vulnerable, according to the words of Scripture: ‘Whatever you did for one of these least brothers of mine, you did for me’ (Mt 25:40). Joy was evident on the faces of the little ones who were present.
