Egypt – World Earth Day 2026

At Sainte Anne School in Cairo: Earth Day is a key opportunity to reflect on the impact of our actions on the environment in which we live and to promote environmental conservation on a global scale.

 “Small actions, big planet”

To mark “World Earth Day”,

Sainte Anne School in Cairo organised several activities with the girls and the teaching staff.

In some classes, there was a real awakening to how different types of fruit and vegetables are grown.

In others, they planted the seeds of various vegetables.

With others, they put their hands and feet in the soil, and to my surprise, for some it was the first time they had ever touched the earth.

With others, they discovered how the earth rotates. The children visualised what gives us day and night and expressed their ideas through drawings.

A huge thank you to the teachers for making these concepts so tangible for the pupils.
