Compassion is like a light that guides Jeanne Antide in her adventure in Naples.
Faithful to her mission of charity, Jeanne Antide, responding to the call of the Church, presents her goal to the Minister of the Interior of the Kingdom of Naples: «to serve our Lord Jesus #christ in the person of the poor» (6 March 1811, LD p. 272).
She gives a particular characteristic to this service: «The sisters will serve the poor with compassion…» (Rule 1820). «We are about to begin our service at the Hospital of the Incurables…» (Letter to the Minister of the Interior of the Kingdom of Naples, January 1811, LD page 262).
