My educational journey at St. Joan Antide and Immaculate Conception Schools, both run by the devoted Sisters of Santa Giovanna Antida, was a transformative experience that laid the foundation for my character and aspirations.

The Sisters’ unwavering dedication to nurturing both the academic and moral development of their students created an environment where I felt supported, inspired, and encouraged to grow.

The teachers at these schools were not only educators but also mentors who played a pivotal role in shaping my career path. Their passion for teaching and genuine care for their students left an indelible mark on me. They went beyond the curriculum, inspiring me with their creative approaches, endless patience, and belief in every child’s potential. Their encouragement and example ignited my passion for education, ultimately leading me to pursue a full-time career lecturing marine biology to undergraduate students.

From an early age, the schools instilled in me the values of kindness, discipline, and perseverance, which have become guiding principles in my life as I managed both academic and extra-curricular activities. This helped me achieve tertiary level qualifications in pianoforte performance and nowadays, I give piano lessons as an extra-curricular activity to children and adults of all ages.

The Sisters’ emphasis on humility and service to others sparked a lifelong commitment to making a positive impact on the world around me. This naturally led me to take on voluntary roles, including leading music ministry for children in my community.

One of the most enduring lessons from my time at St. Joan Antide and Immaculate Conception School was the importance of compassion and understanding. These values have been instrumental in my work. The Sisters emphasized the dignity of every individual, and this perspective has guided me in my interactions with children, youth or adults who face unique challenges. I strive to create a supportive and inclusive environment where every person feels valued and empowered to reach their full potential. This foundation of empathy and patience, cultivated during my years at these schools, continues to shape my approach to education and life in general.
