Diocese of Besançon: friendship and faith shared at the summer youth camp organised by the Diocesan Department of Vocations of Besançon, in which Sister Hoa participated.
“Did you have a good summer? What experiences did you have?
Here is a little account of my participation in a DDV (Diocesan Department of Vocations of Besançon) camp.

This camp took place at the Maison de Saint Joseph in Allex from 8 to 20 July 2025.
The support team included Father Joseph Thien, two couples of deacons, seven facilitators and myself. Together, we accompanied 30 young participants who came from Pontarlier, Mouthe Lac, Mont d’Or, Ornans, etc.
Here, the children had the opportunity to meet, play and participate in group activities. In particular, we offered various physical and sporting activities, as well as games such as canoeing, kayaking, a group raid, treasure hunts, board games, etc

These games not only help to improve health and skills, but also offer young people the opportunity to develop collaboration, sharing, creativity and teamwork.
These young people invested their energy with joy and enthusiasm… Butabove all, they maintained a sense of respect and awareness of themselves and others as Christians.
Every day, our daily spiritual nourishment was provided by Mass and a short catechism session with two questions: “Do you know God? What images of God have you encountered?” These two questions, although simple, invite young people to deepen their faith.
They shared what they had learned from their parents, priests, and people who had been witnesses, and how they had grown in God’s grace. The day ended with Compline.

I really enjoyed the evening of forgiveness, when the young people were able to turn deeply to theLord. They received the sacrament of reconciliation. It was a time of exchange and sharing aroundvarious questions related to Christian life, faith and their own existence.
The camp was a wonderful experience, rich in adventures. It leaves us with happy and less happy memories.
It was unforgettable.
We do not forget to thank God for his love, peace and protection throughout this camp”.
