‘Dynamically faithful to the charism for a vision of the congregation in the newness of the Spirit’.
On Monday, 13 October 2025, the solemn opening prayer of the General Conference 2025 was celebrated at the General House: the Provincial Governments of Europe, Asia, Africa and America, convened by the General Government, took part.
‘In everything I took counsel from God, from circumstances, from the times’: what for Mother Thouret was the search for God’s will for herself, for her daughters, for the nascent institute, later became a method of community discernment for a prophetic re-reading of our presence as Sister of Charity in this time of epochal changes, listening to the challenges of the world and the Church.
In a context marked by wars, social crises and rapid cultural changes, the sisters gathered at the General Conference were called to discern and welcome the newness brought by the Spirit, recognised through deep listening, shared reflection and intense communion among the participants.
The work of the Conference will continue until Sunday, 19 October, when it will conclude with the missionary mandate at the end of the closing Eucharistic celebration.
