The work of the General Conference 2025, convened by the General Government, saw all the sisters animated by the joy of meeting and the responsibility of inaugurating a ‘vision of the congregation in the newness of the Holy Spirit’.
Coming from the Provincial Governments of four continents – Americas, Asia, Europe, Africa, Middle East – the participants consciously chose the working method of ‘networking’.
In these photos, the sisters of the Conference show us the “beauty of the weave”, which, as the poet tells us, requires
‘much patience, courage, joy and suffering, the strength of your hands, the beating of your heart.
We need to open workshops where diversity is experienced, refuges of hope, places of birth,
where no one is excluded from the celebration and the encounter.‘
The poet’s conclusion is a hopeful look to the future:
’There is no more urgent task than to weave together with people networks of justice that can sustain us,
basting utopia with the threads of its dreams.”
