Indonesia and…Participation in the 2025 Jubilee continues with communities, schools, parishes, shelters, and foyer centres where the Sisters of Charity live and work. Behind the Jubilee Cross, sisters, the poor, parishioners, students, young people, the elderly, volunteers, teachers, collaborators, Friends of Saint Jeanne Antide… the people of God who pray, sing, implore forgiveness, beg for peace, animated by hope, pass through the Holy Door, which is Christ.
The extraordinary worldwide experience of the online Vocational Prayer on 11 May helped to revive our enthusiasm.
From Sintang, Indonesia, Sister Maria Mercyana: “In my small world, as a daughter of the Church, I began this month with a different feeling than usual. The death of Pope Francis left us with challenges to reflect on, believe in and live the theme of the Jubilee, which opened us up to HOPE.

My heart seemed to ask, ‘How and where do we begin this month of May 2025?’ The anticipation of the new Pope added a different feeling: the month of the Rosary, 23 May with the feast of St. Jeanne Antide, Vocational Month.
This month seems full of numerous life events, both as members of the Church, as a congregation, as religious, and personally. All of this, of course, leads us to experience our faith.
Thanks to the International Laboratory of Youth and Vocational Ministry, which has helped us and made it easier to face this month with the materials and prayers they have prepared with great care.
These materials are very practical and easy to apply anywhere and to anyone. We, especially in Sintang, began this prayer on 4 May with the Friends of St. Jeanne Antide with a pilgrimage to the Holy Door in Sintang.

The Year of Hope continues to give us the grace to continue moving forward in faith. Pope Leo XIV’s first greeting was that of the risen Christ, ‘Peace be with you all,’ giving peace, tranquillity and courage to continue on the path towards true hope.
