“It is with great sorrow that we announce that at 2:00 a.m. this morning, after several years of painful illness, our dear Mother Maria Luisa Colombo returned to the Father’s House.
We all know how much she contributed to the good of the Congregation, always seeking God’s Will, truth and fidelity to the charism in order to interpret it in the contemporary world at the service of the poor, particularly during her term as Superior General (2000-2010).
She always carried out the many tasks entrusted to her at the local, provincial, general, international and ecclesial levels with great dedication and competence.
We thank the Lord for having given her to us and we join the Sisters of the Giaveno community, her Province and the entire Congregation, strong in faith and confident in the hope that she is already enjoying the happiness of the Kingdom.

We ask her to continue to accompany us, albeit in a different way, and to intercede with the Lord of the Harvest so that he may grant the Congregation numerous and holy vocations for the service of the poor.
In this year in which we celebrate the bicentenary of the death of our Foundress, we have many Sisters to remember together with her: we are certain that Saint Jeanne Antide will welcome her with open arms as a beloved daughter and courageous sister of Charity.
