From Bucharest, Sister Monica tells us about an experience of prayer and service she had during Vocational Month 2025.
“Dearest sisters,
During Vocational Month, our community in Bucharest prayed together for young people.
Then I looked for a day to do an experience of service to the poor with the young people. A young student accepted with joy. So we went to do service with Mother Teresa’s Sisters of Charity here in Bucharest.
Of course, we cannot document our experience with photos, but we were able to meet the guests of that welcoming community and participate in the Sunday programme that the Missionaries organise together with them. After socialising, there is Lectio Divina, they discuss the Word of God with volunteers, then they have a meal and then they return and leave the facility.
The young student was very enthusiastic about this experience of serving the poor. She expressed her desire to be able to do it more regularly.
