The Superior General, Sister Maria Rosa, and the entire community of Regina Coeli in Naples, Mgr Domenico Battaglia, participated in the Holy Rosary for peace, presided over by Cardinal Battaglia of the Diocese of Naples, responding to the appeal of Pope Leo XVI, who dedicated Friday, 22 August 2025, to fasting and prayer for peace.

The prayer took place at the Monastery of the Capuchin Poor Clares ‘Trentatré’ in Via Pisanelli 8 in Naples.

The Holy Father recalled that, while the Holy Land, Ukraine and many other regions of the world continue to be wounded by war, the faithful are called to ‘implore the Lord to grant us peace and justice and to dry the tears of those who suffer’.

In recent days, Archbishop Cardinal Battaglia had launched a heartfelt appeal:

‘Convert battle plans into sowing plans, speeches of power into speeches of care. Sit next to mothers rummaging through the rubble to save a stuffed animal: you will discover that the supreme strategy is to prevent a child from losing his childhood.’

The prayer was not only a moment of intense spirituality, but also a concrete sign of hope and universal communion, entrusting to Mary, Queen of Peace, the cry of those who ask for justice and reconciliation.
