VOCATION MONTH 2026 – Pakistan: Come and See

The Day of Prayer for Vocation is organized once a year, therefore, all those who desire to follow Jesus can listen God’s voice and follow the way which He has prepared for them.

Our congregation in Pakistan organize these days for the vocation intitled COME AND SEE, are usually held in July for three/four days, to participate and have some experience according to ourcharism as Sisters of Charity of St. Jeanne Antide Thouret, the girls come from the differentcities.

These three days of prayer are organized in different ways, so that, the participant findtheir way as God has planed for them. As we read in Jeremiah 29:11:

“For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harmyou, plans to give you hope and a future”.

First day, we welcome the girls and give them time to make themselves relax, and settle downthe things because the experience for which they come is entirely change from their life style.

Afterword we start our opening prayer with adoration of the Holy Eucharist, then there is time of knowing each other, thus first day is organized as an introductive day.

The second day also starts with the prayer and then the day is settled with some moments of sessions regarding to our stain’s lives, services and how we as sisters of Charity live in our different realities, according to the Charism that our mother Jeanne Antide received. In addition, there is celebration of Holy Mass, where priest helps through his homily to understand the call for which God calls us everyday and for special call such as to become a nun, and how He can call in different ways, in different situations and how we can understand precious call.

Moreover, the sisters who are part of equip, organized a visit of institute named Dar-ul-Karishma, where theresidence live, (mentally and physical disable are served by our sisters). There the participantobserve and experience by serving the residence, such as: serving them food, giving them bath, putting in order their clothes and having some time for fun, in short, they come to know one ofour missions in Pakistan. There they feel real presence and get emotional by seeing the sufferingof poor members of Christ.

They also have some moments of recreation and quality time to enjoy together, they play games or watch movie of one of the saints, they share their experience of the three days they spend together.

On third day, before they sum up these days of prayer, the sisters who organized these days of prayers ask the girls their experience how they feel, what did they have observed?

Our aspirants as well participate actively, they also share about their vocation, how they came and what touched them to join our congregation, and also one of the sisters recount about her vocation and experience of the congregation of the sisters of Charity of St. Jeanne Antide, so it becomes more inspiring for them to listen how we as sisters live and serve our poor brother and sisters with love and simplicity concerning to the Charism of St. Jeanne Antide at the end they are given some moments of silence and to evolute the things overall, and what they feel that there should be done and could be improved.

So we wish to all those who desire greatly to loveclosely and serve passionately the suffering members of Christ.
