The month of October began with the Jubilee of Consecrated Life (Rome, October 8-11). In union of spirit, among thousands of consecrated men and women, the Jubilee was inaugurated by the sound of the yobel, which in Jewish tradition announces the Holy Year. A significant international group of Sisters of Charity took part in the event.

October was also the month of the General Conference in Rome. The work was animated by the joy of the gathering and the responsibility of inaugurating a “vision of the congregation in the newness of the Holy Spirit.” Coming from the Provincial Governments of four continents, the participants consciously chose the working method of “networking.”
