I did not expect it ... it has been a complete surprise!!! Though it is certainly a joy for me and even more for others: my family and friends, the Sisters of Charity, my team in Berberati (R.C.A), the families and the KIZITO’s children.
Now I can say that truly God loves most the least and the weakest, as I am, and through them He works great things according to His plan.
When the temptation of giving up is stronger, God comes close and tenderly touches us, winks at us, sends us a message ... and we are back into the deep, looking for new coastlands. This Honour is for all the Sisters of Charity: let us feel confirmed in our effort to do good, to follow the paths of truth, justice, and Charity to serve street-children … as the Decree says ... the poorest among the poor, nobody’s children, accused of being witches and sorcerers, locked in jail with adults ... and yet claiming life. Who listens to their cry?
I am happy to be "the voice of the voiceless". Thank you. Sr Elvira
