The small but courageous Laudato Si’ team that sister Marlyse animates in Rubik, Albania, joyfully accomplished a new mission: cleaning a canal near the local cemetery.

They dedicated Wednesday 21 and Thursday 22 February from 9.30 a.m. to 12 noon, filling 10 100-litre bags on the first day and 7 bags on the second day with rubbish and leaving aside aluminium and plastic cans that could be handed in for recycling.

A young man with disabilities observed the work of these women attentively and joined in with great enthusiasm, spending a nice fraternal moment together in caring for the Common House.

This tells us that ‘doing our bit’, little by little, is contagious.

Congratulations to the team!
