In Sarzana, at the Immacolata Institute: eco-awareness. Signs had already been placed in the classrooms, in the common areas, and in the garden for some time on waste separation.

On Tuesday, 23 January 2024, at 11 a.m., at the end of recess, the teachers organised practical awareness-raising for correct waste disposal. Through dialogue with the children, they tried to find out where our waste ends up if we do not dispose of it properly.

The schoolchildren also reacted positively because children are attracted to everything related to nature and animals. They were attentive, intervened with intelligent questions and were stimulated to adopt good practices in their daily lives.

“It is important because if they are aware children now, they will be responsible adults tomorrow. It is now – the teachers emphasise – that we have to educate them to protect the world we live in”.
