Each year the Sisters of Charity of St. Jeanne Antide celebrate the great joys of the birth of our Saviour Jesus Christ and the New Year together with the staff and patients with great zeal and enthusiasm. Nevertheless, the patients of the hospice remain actively involved in all the programs conducted at the hospice premises. At present the hospice is served by the Sisters of Charity of St. Jeane Antide and managed by the Board of Management led by Rev. Fr. Sarfraz Simon as a Chairman. At present we have four sisters working at the hospice with Sr. Sajida Niamat serving as an administrator of the hospice.

Under their guidance a Christmas celebration at St. Joseph’s Hospice Association took place on December 17, 2021. The evening was brightened up with an astounding preparation and awe-inspiring decoration around the premises of the hospice. The program started with a prayer and bible reading. The program included some very interesting tableau based on the message of Christmas. The most interesting act was “Peace on Earth” that reflected the issues of present time and how the Word of God can bring positive changes in every human’s life and eradicate hate, pride, fear, sorrow from our lives and transform it to love, humble and joy. The staff together setup a scene of Nativity with patients of the hospice performing the role of three kings. Among the participants Ms. Anum was also, present who is a professional singer. She sang some beautiful Christmas songs for the audience, which further made the program interesting and bright.

The program was full of fun and laughter as the priests and above all His Excellency sang a beautiful Christmas carols. A cake cutting ceremony was held and the program ended with a dinner.
As the celebration for Christmas continued, the staff and Sisters once again gathered for the blessed celebration on 22 December 2021 at the premises. As we begin another year, let us pray for more peace, stronger relationships and better understanding to have a much happier life. Our biggest desire is to eradicate the existence of Covid-19 in this year so the entire world may have peace and everyone live happily in love and harmony with each other.
May the New Year start with fresh joys and a life filled with peace. May we all experience warmth and togetherness and prosperity too. Happy New Year!
